The X-Mill™ is Allied's NEW Automated, Precision Milling and Polishing System for the Microelectronics Industry. Sample Preparation Applications for: backside/frontside F/A, reverse engineering, materials research and more. The wizard-based operation (with on-screen help menus) defines: X-Y-Z start/stop, X-Y milling rate, Z-force, Z-increment, Milling Pattern and Tool Overlap and more.

Motorized Leveling Stage

Closer View

The leveling stage automatically aligns the top (upper) sample surface plane parallel with the milling plane. It is used to correct sample tilt due to wax variation from mounting, or when the object of interest (e.g., die in a molded package) is not parallel with the molded top surface.
