Allied has introduced a proprietary, fully automated imaging solution designed to meet the needs of printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing laboratories, and to complement our printed circuit board (PCB) cross‑sectioning equipment. The system features a motorized inverted microscope and imaging analysis software for image acquisition, measurement and reporting/traceability requirements. The analysis provides detailed statistics for each layer and board measured, including mean, standard deviation and a pass/fail status based on user-defined parameters. Results are automatically populated into a fully customizable Microsoft Word^® report template, and data can then be exported for archiving, auditing or further analysis.
